Oberthur Card Systems, a leading suppliers of smart card based solutions, was selected at the end of 2005 by the Ministry of Innovation and Technology to be the reference provider of the CNS (National Services Card) for the Italian Public Administration. This pluri-annual contract, signed between the Centro Nazionale per l’Informatica nella Pubblica Amministrazione (CNIPA) and a Temporary Group of companies including Oberthur Card Systems, Actalis, AlmaViva (Finsiel), Sia and TrustItalia, calls for the delivery of 3 million cards for the requirements of the CNS program and several other projects.
