The procedure works as follows: the client applies for a new card or a lost card replacement at the local branch of his bank. Customer services issues a card request: customer data is entered, an account is selected, additional features and applications are customized. The collected data is sent via a secured network to Trüb’s services bureau responsible for central data preparation for smart card personalization, including the chip data. Once processed, the personalized data is sent back to the printer/encoder at the bank where it is printed onto the smart card and simultaneously written onto the chip to enable EMV transactions. geert.hoevenaars@trueb.ch www.trueb.com
